Aunnar Village
General Information
The village of Aunnar lies along a narrow street that winds up from a sandy beach. Most of the populace is farmers and fisherfolk though the proximity of the capital has drawn a number of other tradesmen to the village.
The inn, 'The White Bell' is of average quality with straw mattresses and mediocre food and drink. The innkeeper Gwugwyn has only his wife, Nellyra and daughter, Sacla to help him and so the place can be hectic when full. The brewery next door supplies him with ale. An elven bard by the name of Javalandaria plays in the inn most nights but has a habit of disappearing into the wilds for weeks at a time. He has a small room at the top of the inn which he keeps locked at all times. Gwugwyn is too proud to have a bard such as Javalandria in his humble inn to break in and investigate what is hidden there, if anything.
There is a small temple just off of the main street which is manned by a single elderly priest, Tedd. The temple is dedicated to Berei the Hearth Mother. The priest will aid any non evil persons seeking help. He hopes that one day, soon, one of his adopted companions will return to take over the running of the temple.
The proximity of the coast means that smuggling of goods is common. Most are handled by the fisherman Owec and the goods are processed through the fence Gleonry who runs a general purpose store and carting operation. The rest of the villagers know what is going on but they would never report it to the authorities as, so far, no one has been hurt and they all gain a little from the goods brought in.

Adventure Hooks
- Dangerous Cargo
- Owec brings ashore a chest taken from a ship that ran aground on the rocks and sand with all hands. He stores the chest in the net store with the other goods and thinks nothing more of it until a villager dies from what appears to be a vampire's bite. He returns to the net store to find the chest missing. Where has it gone and what did it contain?
- An Old Friend Returns
- Tedd, the old priest is dying. His eyesight has almost completly failed and he is relieved when a young man turns up purporting to be son of one of his adventuring partners from long ago. He has come, he says, to take up the role of cleric in the village. Tedd is grateful, but is unsure of the young man and he asks the PCs to investigate for him so he can die in peace.
