The First Has Gone Missing!
"The revered leader of a nation has gone missing. Enemy agents are suspected to be involved though as yet neither Doralin nor Bormaris have claimed responsibility. The general public have not been told of the First's disapearance though rumours have started to spread. A crack team of adventurers have been tasked to find the First and bring him back alive. So far they have seen off an undead beholder (finding one of the First's fingers in the process) and are now back in the capital, Safeharbour following up a number of leads.
They need help, arcane help, if they are to defeat the foes that face them, can you be that hero?"
The Western Realms PBeM is now in its 10th year. Three of the players have been in since the start but for the past adventure or so have been without arcane assistance, aside from the few spells available to the aging bard, Zan. Characters are now at 5-6th level and I am looking for a mage or a sorcerer (preferably a human or elf) to join the party. Currently the party comprises:

- a human ranger

- a human monk
- Dohrum
- a dwarven cleric of Koryis
- D'mond Fourfeathers
- an elf rogue
- Zan
- a human bard (NPC)
The DM sends out turns twice weekly (usually Sunday and Wednesday evenings) and players are requested to also submit at least two turns a week as well. I use 3e rules with some minor modifications behind the scenes to handle events. Most XP is awarded for role playing (bonus points for making the DM laugh while remaining in character are available), though combat can and will occur.
If you want to join, please read the 'Story So Far' and other information on the website and send me an email with a character background and description. Unless you have a better idea you will have been recruited by the same powers that are guiding the PCs in thier search for the First. You will start as a 6th level character with the following stats (you may add one point to one stat for attaining 4th level). You may buy any standard or masterwork equipment and may choose magic items from the following list. You have a total of 14000gp to spend. You can choose your own spells from the Players' Handbook or other official sources but the DM reserves the right to vet this list.
